This is the car you are looking at I presume ?

I am also after a petrol Ghibli but I think the search may have to wait until Covid restrictions lift. The spec on most seems fairly standard, with only a handful having the extended leather, convenience or executive packs. Are there any options people would specifically recommend ? Most Ghiblis seem to have heated seats, parking sensors and electric seats as standard.
That’s on my list but would need a good look over. Like you say a good few about but specs are pretty poor.

Probs gone a bit snobbish but Alfa isn't Maserati to me.......

Depends if you're buying it for the badge or to drive it ,

Given the choice of Ghibli or Guilia Quadrifoglio I'd pick the Alfa every time.

Nobody will pay 100k for a fiat or an alfa which is why maserati still exists

As to where the parts come from , could be anywhere :D

Stellantis Group

The group has a wide portfolio of automotive brands: Abarth, Alfa Romeo, Chrysler, Citroën, Dodge, DS Automobiles, Fiat, Fiat Professional, Jeep, Lancia, Maserati, Opel, Peugeot, Ram Trucks and Vauxhall Motors

I had a look at a Ghibli today. It was light on spec and probably isn't one that I am going to pursue. There were two small issues though that I wanted to ask about. The rear brake calipers were very rusty (pads and discs had been replaced in the last 18 months), and there was condensation in both headlights.

The condensation issue is one I can understand as these units are not sealed due to the heat generated by modern headlights. There was only a small amount of condensation anyway but I don't want to replacing headlights if there is a known issue. Has anyone had issues with their calipers ? I assume these can be taken out cleaned, coated and put back.

Looking at the Ghibli stood next to my staid 5 Series has convinced me I need a Maser.

Do you mind saying which car your looking at as I’m looking for a Ghibli. Don’t want to go after cars that don’t hit the mark.
