Go to NAV -> Settings -> Map, press the options icon on the top left corner (the one with three lines), the press Update Map. You will be prompted to insert an USB stick, you'll get an error message and the car info will be written to the stick. Download Garmin Express ( https://www.garmin.com/en-US/software/express/ ), install it, insert the USB stick, and then follow the steps to add/register the device, and check for the update. With the update written to the stick, go back to your car, follow the same exact steps to get to the update menu, and you should have an updated map.

A word to those who are performing the update - when the nav system starts again for the first time, it will sit at the loading screen with a "Software Loading..." prompt at the top of the screen for a LONG time. I didn't time it, but it seemed like it was close to 10 minutes. Just be patient.

Hmmm ... just done this and it appears that I've got the latest available version for my Ghibli already.

Model: CTP16
Software Version: 6.25

Mine's a 2015 Ghibli S.

Anyone else got different Model/Version. It could be that the dealer updated it without telling me when it was in for new headlamp bulbs last week I suppose.

Latest is 7.09 according to the screen grab above but that could be for US maps.

It seems that this is an update of the unit firmware itself and not the maps according to Facebook.

Refrain from doing it until we can find the maps.

Mine is already 7.09 but I had the unit replaced under warranty 2 years ago..

Unfortunately the site appears to be pretty smart and in the UK only the Lancia, Fiat, and Maserati links are clickable. The Maserati link displays a pop-up saying go to dealer. I don't understand why Maserati have removed the option to let us update the maps ourselves.

They have to make some money ;0)

Ignore the negativity usually based on no actual experience.
As an owner for nearly four years I would definitely recommend.

Hi! none of this seems to work on the newer 2017MY. The website has uconnect instructions only for the older version. Anybody know how to do it?

Good evening
Any one of you I manage to update software version and map. I have a issue since few day, my car move outside the map when I go to a Costa drive on a new estate and don’t come back on the road properly, never had that before but my areal has been move for put a sticker of the roof.
After a lot of research i have this information
model CTP16
SV 6.10
GPS 4.15.06
on the dealer mode : map version 2014

i live far away of a Maserati dealer and I don’t want to be rip off with their cost.
i can buy online if need
