Ghibli depreciation

The Alfa 159 has been similarly slow to depreciate. True there are some below £4000 but largely they’ve starship mileages. The pick of the range (IMO) is the 1.8 Tbi (not MPI) engine, a mint one of those is still around the ten grand mark nine years after it was released. Can’t be many equivalent Beemers that are the same... but then...

Alfa sold so few of them in the first place. I imagine it’s the same with the Ghibli... though I do seem to see them fairly often.

What do you mean.. the Maser!

Dave
Yeah!

I keep thinking QP6 but that's pretty fow (as we say oop North too), both look to me like BMW/Mazda/Jag clones and they are both basically Chryslers, nothing wrong with that but...

When my QP5 expires I think I'll look at an Aston Rapide, still looks the part, I'm afraid to me and that's my own opinion, Maserati has become a bit parts bin with their latest stuff....

Your right, the later QP6's are far too big and baggy, like you say where do you go after owning a sublime classic QPV

Maybe buy another one!

Really? 3 years and 60% is pretty bad. At least that's what the one I bought had lost.

Surely depends what you are comparing it to? Comparable 4 door luxury saloons, perhaps not

I always take these kind of statistics with a pinch of salt. They rely on market averages against list price. Who pays list price for a 4 door saloon from any brand? If you did, you were robbed.

I do think that the latest one looks better from the front than mine. Saw a very nice dark blue one at the dealers yesterday.

I'm taking the depreciation with a pinch of salt, especially as mine has decent mileage on it :) Still, its encouraging for when I want to swap it for a Maserati Unicorn Alfieri.

For me it is about relativity. DL Swindon lent me one for a week whilst the Cats were replaced under warranty on my QPV. It was a 3.0d and compared unfavourably with our 335d BMW in terms of performance, handling and economy and I was not too keen on how it looked, especially compared to the QPV (and that's without considering the sense of occasion, the noise, performance....). Recently I followed a Ghibli in a nice shade of Grigio with larger wheels and actually thought it looked very nice, especially the rear three quarters. Looked at in comparison to the ubiquitous BMW/Audi/Merc it is a good looking alternative just don't park next to a QPV.
As an aside, it's such a shame they did not fit the engine from the Alfa Giulia QF.

Nice, I hope it has skyhook. The p zeros on those wheels were rubbish on mine, usual p zero rubbish on a colder day.

If it’s not got skyhook, I’ve a set of lowering springs kicking about if you fancy them. Down 15mm I think, H&R, brand new in the box.
