Bloody Romans what have they ever done for us

Got rid of that bl00dy Boudica woman.
Recruited thousands of native Brits for a construction programme
Had them build some nice roads to drive on
Opened a dealership in Surrey to sell cars to the very rich

Not a bad tally really.

Don't forget that the Romans created Manchester...both have a lot to answer for!

There are two around Chepstow and they do look good especially the face lift one in blue but I think you are right it lacked the Maserati sparkle but I suppose it was never going to be as special as the Gransport, GT, QP etc because of those Chrysler based engines and the audience they where aimed at. Remember hearing the avertisements on the radio that firmly aimed them at the company car market and the issue they had was they just weren’t as good as the competition. You could always forgive Maserati making cars that weren’t as good as the competition because they were stunning had great engines and passion…You yearned to own one and felt good when you walked up to car, opened the door, got in and turned the key as it was always something special but when you take this away you have to be at the top of your game to succeed in this sector I think. Great buy used though…

Are you from the chepstow area?

Yes, I live in Chepstow..Are you in the area as well ?

Yep the top end of Caldicot near Caerwent. I have a white Ghibli with a private plate, how about you?

I havent seen any Maserati's in the local area, apart from tonight I saw a Ghibli being dragged out of a ditch tonight near pontypool by a flat bed via a winch with police there. Im guessing they fishtailed off the roundabout.

No Maserati for me. Had one many years ago and got friendly with this lot and never left. There is a blue face lift Ghibli in Chepstow and a Black one with a wonky back number plate that bugs the **** out of me.

If it see you I shall give you a wave. So it a silver Mercedes flashes at you it will be me not a weirdo…Well some may say different…

There was talk of building houses on there Phil. Now and again they do Everyman driving experiences there …or did….Plus TopnGear used it once as well. Didn’t realise the Wyedean rally used it back in the day as well.

Two separate events Andy but both around your local area.
Loved the Forest stages especially knowing and having seen the Group B cars Rallying in there when it was the RAC Rally.
