Ghibli servicing

I’ve seen a 3.0s 2015 Ghibli that I really like and has the options that I require. But, and there’s always a but, I had a chat with a salesman today and asked about the service history. It was registered in June 2015 and had its first service in July 2017 @ 15000miles. The next service was February 2019 @ 29235miles. The service light is on so needs servicing and it’s done 45200 miles. The 2nd service it had filters and brake fluid. The question is has it gone too long between services or given a good going over this service would it be nothing much to worry about? I understand that service intervals are 12500 miles or 2 years whichever is the sooner.

Is it still covered by a Maserati extended warranty ?

Normally main dealers will allow +/- 10% on the mileage interval simply because it isnt always practical to get the car booked in bang on 12.5k or 2 years.

If it still has a Maserati warranty then get the selling garage to get confirmirmation that Maserati will honour the warranty with the service dates and mileage records the car has.

If there isnt a Maserati warranty then tbh i wouldnt let the over run on the mileage worry me too much. Its not like it had done double the amount of miles between services.

It needs a service now so either use that and the out of kilter service record to get a decent deal or have them service as part of the deal at a recognised indy.

Thanks Spenny that was what I was thinking. Haggle time tomorrow. It’s not on an extended warranty.
