When leaving Goodwood this evening a came across a fellow Maserati owner stranded in the side of the road.

So being the helpful chap that I am I pulled over in a lay-by and walked back to see if I could help.

lovely classic Sebring but with no tools, let alone mechanic knowledge all I could do was offer to help push the car to a safe spot and leave them waiting for the breakdown services.

Well done. Nice to know there’s someone who’s willing to lend a hand. Bet hundreds had driven past before you.

My daughter broke down recently on a massive M25 intersection, two cars stopped to block traffic and 6 guys from various cars pushed her to the side of the road, made sure she was safe and had AA cover and a phone.
If I new who they were I would buy them a pint.
I have often stopped to help people over the years - we all should

No good deed handed out to me with a blowout on the Kirkstone pass. I had no option other than to slowly drive down to civilisation, hazards on 10mph and a car up my ar5e flashing his lights to get past. When I got to a passing place and pulled in he was annoyed when I called him an ar5ehole.
