One important point i forgot that needs to be mentioned is the lack of cubbies in the GS, you pretty much only have the flimsy door pocket so its annoying if you like to put your phone and water bottle on the center console.

The 4200 center console has a cupholder and a few other storage areas where its not much of an issue.

Completely agree - although the aftermarket cupholders I bought for my GS are fab...

I’ve been driving the one I bought 2 weeks ago, 40 miles every other day, motorway run. It’s an automatic smile in the morning starting her up. It’s even more of a smile when you see people admiring her in their German Motors... the drive is nice and the raw to 70mph just happens without hesitation. Miles per gallon, well I’ve not been to bothered but she’s not too bad as I thought...

I find it frustrating to drive mine slowly. It isn't good at it, the gearbox is terrible in traffic and obviously it uses a lot of fuel. Drives in a GS should be special.

For a daily, hard to beat a cheap EV, like a LEAF. Electric driving is so low-stress, hard to go back to a normal car for commuting duty.

If I had somewhere safe to park and the commute was not 100 miles I may have used mine more for work... esp as the roads on my run are recently resurfaced.

But as it is a softer sprung station car is what I use.

I’m clearly getting older, but my GS is not what I want in a daily driver.

In a daily driver I want all mod cons, I want convenience, I want hands-free calls, I want stereo controls on the steering wheel, I want cruise control, and most of all I want to be to able to drive without really thinking about it...

In my GS I want to have to think about what I’m doing... I want to be excited by the sound and the feedback coming through the steering wheel... I want to have to plan for when I’m going to change gear to get the most enjoyment from a corner, etc, etc, etc...

I hear you, but I have some of those mod cons, Bluetooth, Dab etc... it’s just nice to drive and have a sense of ownership. Praise again to the previous owners for the way the car has been maintained. The weekends are defo not the same as I get to clean her with the 2 bucket method ready for the next trip out. I suppose I’ll enjoy the V8 until my money runs out
