My GS rear screen is starting to de laminate at the bottom . It was like it when I bought it. Is this able to be replaced under my screen cover on my insurance ? It is damaged after all ?

I believe only accidental damage is covered in insurance.
Check the glass cover limit on your policy as I fell foul of this when a rear window on a classic Range Rover needed replaced and it was over the £1500 limit for a genuine part (comes complete with the frame) had to go pattern part in the end.

I think also safety plays a part in the decision. If it is deemed safe enough to see out of and not obscuring vision in any way, then that would play a part/or maybe if the integrity of the glass is compromised (say a large crack) this may also come into play. Yours sounds like it's more of an aesthetic fault.

I understand the plastic frame is no longer available so you may have to live with it.

I very much doubt you'll be covered for delamination. Damage, on the other hand...

If my rear screen was to let's say ....develope a crack . Are the screens and surrounds still available to Autoglass ?

Not the surroundings as far as I am aware... there are posts on here from members looking for new ones but having to go to salvage yards for a second hand one Martin.

Dusting off spade now, when do you want me?

If your planning on having it repainted you should do it then.

Well its should be covered by the insurance . The thing is does a de laminated screen warrant a new screen ?

I would make doubly sure it covered before I did anything...esp anything that would be close to 10% of the cars value.
