Really interested in this, POA really does my head in. Aren’t we all interested before we know the price??
It’s not been raced since at least 2011. Seat, harness, extinguisher and bag tank will need replacing. That’s probably £2K. You’ll want an HTP for it, that’s another £1k assuming it’s in the correct spec still. Then you’ve got the time and mileage limited stuff and/or crack testing. Would then fit into maybe one of the Peter Auto series or you could just club race it.

€50-60k I’d guess. Maybe less if it’s not run at all recently. The last GT4 sat for ages but at least it is a GT4 so you can use it.

Nice colour scheme though.

I’ve asked the question.
Probably a little more than when it sold via online auction earlier this year…

I would expect it to be significantly more than €60k.
This is a single-make Trofeo car that sold for €85k https://collectingcars.com/for-sale/2005-maserati-gransport-trofeo-race-car

The red car is very similar but different, there’s a Nurburgring and Evo Magazine history with it, as well as storied drivers. So I would expect - not necessarily agree - that it would be €More.

There is also this for sale via Autoluce, which currently occupies a unique place in Maserati history - at least until the the GT2 MC20s are launched, anyway. https://www.autoluce.com/portfolio/maserati-gran-sport-laboratorio/
Also stretches the definition of ‘last official Maserati racing car’ a little but I guess it means factory entered.

Look around the site a little further though https://www.autoluce.com/portfolio/alfa-romeo-155-v6-ti-dtm/

Much as I love the GranSport I’ve been watching Francois Delecour twang a rally prepped Vantage around France and it gives me a trouser sneeze.
Then again didn’t someone enter a GranSport Trofeo into the Targa Tasmania and, er, exit via a tree?

There was one at Prescott last year.

Yes, yes and yes again.
I’ve been thinking about interviewing Ulrich Bez; though Aston Martin catapulted him into almost a petrolhead household name, his influence on BMW and consequently on Porsche is understated.
Be a good excuse to drive a Z1, 993 Carrera and V8 Vantage together…
