Took the GT for a blast today and noticed my intermittent bootlid switch had stopped working completely (have to use the dash switch).
So, had a quick look, undo the 2 self tapper's - pull the switch unit out and noticed that the rubber had pushed in. Re-seated the rubber and then saw that the cables to the microswitch had worn insulation and were shorting - so, moved the wires a bit and stuck some insulating tape on - screwed it back in and voila!
5 mins and now I have a working bootlid switch again......love it when it's easy!
