Always bugged me the thick rubber bit behind the grills on the front of the GranTurismo.

Have just bought some Gtechniq T1 to try and neaten it up a bit has anyone tried it before or anything else for that matter?

Bit awkward to get to so bought some finger pad things as well to manoeuvre in behind the grills

I would have thought C4 was better and longer lasting. It is for plastic and rubber.
Not tried T1 but assume it is not so long lasting as it is more a dressing.

On balance, I think Gtechniq products are good.
Tried permanent trim restorer (C4) and been pretty disappointed tbh. The T1 isn’t permenant but I think it works well as a frequent, post wash fast detailer for trim pieces. At least as well as the C4, which isn’t as described if you look at their tech sheets...
Just my experience...

So I looked at the C4. The video shows it being used on plastic whereby this but is definitely a rubber of some sort. Wasn’t sure on compatibility?

The other thing I was conscious of was trying to physically manage to rub every bit behind the grills, hence didn’t want some permanent streaks burning holes in my eyeballs until it eventually wore off lol.

Will give the T1 a bash. It’s definitely not long lasting but will see how it pans out

I did look online for some sort of long reach brush / pad assembly but didn’t seee anything so ordered a couple of those finger pads

C4 very dependant on whether it is in the elements all the time I guess. At the end of the day the only way to recolour plastic is to paint it

Yeah it’s not that bad, just not as ‘polished’ as the rest of the car which is in really good nick. Hopefully the T1 just cleans it up a bit

Swisvax seal feed is great on rubber products.

Now let the puerile replies flow....

So used the T1 for the first time today. Didn’t actually get the front grill done but put it on the side mirrors and window weather strips and windscreen scuttle.

Pics don’t do it justice but has brought them up gorgeous. No streaks and a smooth finish.

You can tell they put something in similar to their ceramic products as they now have a silky smooth feel.

Overall very pleased and recommended.
