Heated seat issue

So I bought my 2014 Granturismo a few months ago and I have this minor issue. On start up and for around 5 mins the heated seats are on even though the dial to side of seat is at zero as is the indicator on the dash. Usually the seats cool down after a few mins, but still a bit annoying. Anyone have any ideas on whats going on? Thanks

The switch gets dust etc in it. Spray some contact cleaner in there and it should fix it. If not, you’ll need to unbolt the seat and take the switch out and do so.

Yep, as dicky said. Dirt, dust and moisture. If you open the window when the car is wet, it tends to drop right onto the switch area.

Ignition off, spray some contact cleaner in there and work it back and forth for a while. Spray a bit more in to rinse it out and wait for it to completely dry before trying it.

My driver seat does this. I think the switch is a little iffy. Just touching it makes the relay click on and off. I just switch it to 1 and back and that sorts it.

It’s funny, I have never really understood the need for heated seats and have never used them in any of my cars.
So if this was a fault in my car I would disconnect the switch - simples.

They always feel like I've pished myself (well, what I imagine that would feel like). The advantage of heated seats is that when such an incident does occur, it's quicker to dry things out afterwards. Apparently.

That would make the alcantara smell rather fruity I imagine.
