Yep certainly beggars belief what some people are like , if you all remember had this 10 months ago , on our way back from France , after doing a round trip to Mouliherne 2 separate cars, kaz's daughter driving in a Mazda Premacy on the M1 junction 13 with hubby and 3 young kids in the back was hit on the front wing at 70mph by an overtaking driver swerving and returning into the centre lane , sent her into a spin and then the car rolled 3 times before landing on its roof on the hard shoulder ,
The perpetraitor also span onto the embankment stalled his car , re started it and buggered off , visually the accident was horrific , being the 2nd one on the scene we managed to get the kids out and both adults , remarkably no one was seriosly injured , with 5 police cars and 2 ambulances all were taken to hospital , statements from witnesses taken , it was a mega serious accident which so easily could have had fatalities, soon as it was confirmed that all were not seriously injured the severity of the accident was down graded to hit and run
Within 36 hours the car was found abandoned, near the M1 junction 15 , the name of the driver known, and after two attempts to get him to court he just doesn't turn up .......... baaaastard ooh makes me mad just thinking about it

Unbelievable is right. There's nothing on the crime map to support a H&R in or around the Southall area on or about the 19th January. Possibly fake and posted on YouTube by Profusion or one of its supporters. The whole thing just seems a bit staged. Viral advertising at its most insidious.
Still tempted to get one to fit on the parcel shelf so that I can post pictures of tailgaters on YouTube. Have I mentioned before that I fecking hate tailgaters?

Just checked on Google - the advert isn't as viral as I first suspected. After 6 days, I wouldn't be particularly happy that it only shows up as the top two results on Pistonheads (not slating PH) with the YouTube video itself in 3rd place. Profusion comes a lowly 4th.
Maybe there is hope. It would appear that the general public have become somewhat more discerning after the NOTW fail.

agreed it does look a bit staged but that would have taken a huge amount of preparation to look that real.
If true it's an amazing testament to how stupid some people are. Read elsewhere that she got a 2 year suspended, small fine and 500 community service. If she drives like that when she is only late for work, then she should be banned for life and ordered to get counselling.

I agree that a proper custodial sentence is in order. ...and I mean proper!
Also, due to the public's absolute love of money, fining still remains the best punishment.
She should pass over 50% of her gross income (earned or in benefits) to the victim for a fixed period, suggesting 20 years.
This is how to stop crime. People prefer money to absolutely anything.
A 2-year custodial will do nothing.
