Lovely car. For that price remove the spare wheel kit and sell it separately on here.

So, only 800 miles since April 2016, and only 2 miles since June 2019? How can you stand to drive it so little?

I have a couple of "winter cars" so it never comes out in the winter.
In the summer the wife and I discuss which car is going out and the open top car wins every time. The two miles since Jume 2019 was back from MOT station. I start cars every week, run em round the drive and put em away again. Criminal to own this one really which is why i want to now sell it.

Hi Phil,
I'm interested in your post as I'm planning to advertise my manual 4200. My GT Coupe is a pre-facelift 04MY with 54,000 on the clock and is, like yours, in excellent condition. I was thinking to ask in the order of £15k for mine so i guess with the extra 30k mileage and being 2 years older, then £12k sounds about right. In reality, of course, its a bargain for what someone's going to get, especially with that spec and history. My only negative is that I'm not that keen on the colour (you said you wouldn't be offended!) but that's just down to personal choice. Good luck with the sale, the manuals are rare beasts and there are quite a few of us out there that prefer a stick shift gearbox.

Interesting, why do you say that can I ask?

I assume because you can get the same money for the car with or without the spare wheel kit, PLUS the money for the spare wheel kit.

When buying old Volvo V70s, half of them don't have the retractable load cover; either because it is broken or because the seller has already got £200 for it on eBay.

Hi Phil, I have seen them go for $1,800 in Australia.
That's for the full set with insert, jack, long bolts, hump carpet and possibly the compressor that fits the insert.
You'd need to pick up a flat carpet to sell with yours.

OK guys, many thanks for the heads up on spare wheel. Any further comments about the advert before I load it up?
Many thanks in advance.

Just re-read your specs. Also believe you'll get the same money with standard exhaust, so consider removing yours and return to standard.
If ever I sold my car I would remove my full Larini system, suspension mods and spare wheel as they won't add to the price.
The desirability of your car is in the beautiful colour combination ( I'm biased but get so much praise for mine ), thorough service history, presentation and factory accessories including that leather roof.

If you do split the spare wheel let me know... I could also give you a flat boot floor in PX and also have a standard mid box too.

Having received the advice from this forum to split the spare wheel kit and sell it seperately I looked up on Ebay how much they are being sold for and I am astounded. Up to a grand for a new unused kit. Amazing!

If you’ve got heart trouble, best not try and sell a 4200 in the current climate! :D
I took the route of selling to a trader in the end who came up with £4000 more than both Mini dealers we visited as we were looking for a new car for my wife at the time. I removed the X-pipe, alloy pedal covers and Gransport Grille I had previously fitted. Had I sold it privately I would have left those on plus had it serviced and MOT'd and sorted out a very slow leak on a tyre that developed over lockdown.
The car is now in the hands of MrJoshua.

Hi Neil,
Mine is a higher mileage car partially used for work duties. One of my shocks was leaking so I had all 4 original ones rebuilt by the Australian Sachs importer. Took the opportunity to replace all flanblocks and both front lower wishbones with pattern parts from EuroSpares and both ball joints, plus rear tie rods ( common fault ) with ones from USA, so renewed it all. Fitted Formula Dynamics lowering springs and Formula Dynamics stiffer anti-roll bars. My suspension guy set the car low, but I might have him raise it 10 mm as I scrape on speed humps. Much improved handling, particularly confidence in high speed corners.
Regards,
Bruce
