Hydro Dip GTS side skirts

My GTS has the genuine carbon mirrors, door handles, splitters and spoiler.
Someone suggested I could get the side splitters hydro dipped to "match".

I think it would look good and really set the car off, how easy are the side skirts to remove?

Shouldn't be too difficult you may have to remove the wheels and arch liner in search for hidden screws.

If you do do it, can you take pics and do a how to thread please?

Sounds like a good idea. Where would you them done? Wicked Designs?

No sure yet, am going to have to do some research..... and understand durability etc........
Might also look at wrapping them which could be removed if I ch aged my mind or a future owner did not like it.

I would of thought that carbon wrap would be cheaper, faster and easier to do. You wont need to take the side skirts off and has the advantage of any stone chips can easily be rectified. It can also be reversed easily come sale time if a future owner wants the original look.

Do you know anyone to trust to do that who could match it to mc sportline carbon?
Do you think there is a risk of peeling etc?

South Wales - Near M4 corridor. I can't find any online (dipping places).. but I am sure there are some.
Would a standard wrapping place be worth asking?

There was a dipping company in Birmingham when I went to a meet, it was in this building, you might get somewhere by calling them and asking them if they can help as they were all motor related companies and were in an old building, so the tenants may know each other: -

MSL Birmingham: 1-2 Armoury Rd, Birmingham, West Midlands B11 2PP 0121 772 4455

Alternatively just found these place: - http://www.carbonfibremagic.co.uk/index.php#.VzRtHr642oc and another http://www.rukuscustoms.co.uk/carbon-hydro-dipping--prints.html and this one looks good http://www.midland-hydrographics.com/gallery/

Thanks - there seems to be a wide variety about.
I spoke to a couple of wrapping places and they were honest - they said wrapping wouldnt get anywhere near the finish you need to compare with the MC Sportline effect. They thought dipping was the only way forward - and to make sure it matched,

Yep good idea. He's done all my cars and I will get the GTS to him before Le Mans this year and for a few carbon bits.

he's done a few italians recently.
