Information Security Policy

My wife is a sole trader and has received a contract which requires her implement a written information security policy that specifies the security standards she will apply to protect personal data she processes.

Does anyone have any examples or pointers where I could get a template to look at?

Thanks

As a sole trader? Blimey. You could simply grab one of t'internet or go full Cyber essentials.

I have a stack of policies here, but to know if any of them are immediately relevant, I'd need to see the terms in the contract.

More than happy to help, though

I get these fairly often.

I turn it round to the company issuing the request and ask them what the standards and rules they want me to abide by.
Then ask them to send me a document which I can sign to confirm that I will abide by them.

Saves a lot of time, effort, and money on putting together a document which will be read once and forgotten about.

The information NHS Wales wanted me to implement was unbelievable and would have cost me circa 3-4 grand to put such a document together.
In the end I asked them to send me a document which states that I will abide by their rules. They did, I signed it. We got a sh*t ton of work from them.
