Hi all,
So, new to my Maserati (only had it a month) and normally an Android user but I bought the Maserati iPod cable and an old 32GB iPod touch.
I installed iTunes on my PC and imported my library of music into it (circa 9500 tracks) then synced it to the iPod. So far so good!
Plugged the iPod into the car and it recognised an iPod and took about 15 minutes then informed me I had 1 playlist (PLYLST1) with circa 9500 tracks on it - looking good now!
Found out how to put the random mode on which also worked - I'm on to a winner!
Now the frustrations start.
I can't see the artist anywhere. The screen shows track title and album title but not artist.
If I sort by artist (which seems to work), then the random function just works on that artist - not my entire library.
Anyone mastered how to use an iPod in their car and can assist me?
I do have a bluetooth receiver as well which works with my Android phone but I can't see the track details on the screen and can't use the steering wheel/stereo controls - have to use the phone to change tracks etc hence want to get the iPod working.
Am I alone in this? Might be my lack of understanding of iTunes or my lack of understanding of how the head unit works but something isn't quite right.
