I haven't compared this car's price with a non Cat car. But the discount would need to be substantial.
You'll take a similar hit at resale.
Notice he says nothing in writing in the ad about the nature of the write-off. Possibly because he knows
that written statements and possibly recorded voice statements can be used against him in court, if he's
caught lying about the car's condition.
IME a seller will attempt to reassure the ad reader that although Cat S, the damage was minor, yadda, yadda.
If you read his dealer reviews, there's something fishy about them. I mean, how they're written. There are
similarities in phrasing, grammar etc that make me suspect that the same person has written the reviews
at the same time.
Proceed with extreme caution, or better yet. Not at all ;)

Yep, not worth it. It’s such a shame as you don’t get many pop up with this spec. The search continues!
