Is this a Stradale?

Not quite a Stradale, no - this is a Granturismo MC but the models are similar. They stopped making the Stradale around 3 years ago and never made it with the faccelift nose & infotainment that this one has. The wings, bonnet and rear bumper are the same as is the alcantara dashboard but they do not have the carbon brakes which for me is one of the main differences to a regular GT.
It's very nice however and looks great in that colour

Looks like a Stradale! There again didn't the Stradale have ceramic brakes and a race button? I've never seen a Gran Turismo MC script in the cabin.

Stuart is right. When the Sport was replaced with the final facelift - the one with the bigger nav screen - they offered the regular model and the MC. This is an MC and they have a bonnet scoop and central pipes. Obviously the main difference with the Stradale is the fact that the MC is auto.

I love the colour (maybe biased) but this car still has plenty of depreciation.
I will have to be patient for my next upgrade!

those regular brake disks are a give-away. not a strad, but still a lovely looker. timeless, but I'm biased.

This is not a Stradale. They never made a Stradale face lift. It had the body...sort of....but that's where it ended. Dealers will advertise them as Stradale but they weren't.

You should upgrade but to a real Stradale!! Those MC’s are lesser cars and will depreciate way quicker so keep a look out for a good Stradale though low mileage, good spec/colour cars are hard to find these days.

When mine turned 3 yrs old last July, the local Maserati Dealer called me to offer an ’upgrade’. By the end of the conversation the salesman agreed that it would actually be a downgrade from a tiptop Stradale........

Had my Strad 3 years now and I must confess I did start looking.

But, I am just too attached to it. I still enjoy every minute of it so I have shelved swapping it indefinitely.

And for those who always wondered, yes they really are that good.

Lovely car.
To be fair, nuvola aren't claiming it is a strad, but it does say MC-shift, when it's an auto. It's unlike Nareman to get a detail like that wrong.

Maserati really made a bit of a mess with this model. I have a 2018 MC the same as this one and even though it is not a stradale it is confusing. According to my V5 it's a stradale yet I have finance on it and it is financed as a 2018 V8 MC MC shift.. when I put it into webuyanycar I get two different values.. if I put my number plate in it values it as a stradale and if I put in the model its financed as I get a value 15k more! Its such a mess.. if I wanted to sell it I don't know even what model my car is..

If it’s a Strad, it’ll say so on the glove box lid. But if yours is a facelift 2018 car, it’ll not be a Strad, as these weren’t made then.

Hmmm. It doesn’t quite work for me. Something looks different from a Strad (not just the brakes). Did actual Strads have bigger sills, lower, different rear splitter? I can’t put my finger on it. And the interior is a bit hectic.

Hi. I am currently looking at Stradale's OR a newer MC sportline (some call it the MC shift - which it is not cuz its an auto). I know all of the differences, but has people driven them back to back and is the car in Race mode (Strad) louder and more aggressive ? My main dealer is saying that the MC is 10% louder than the sport and is firmer - very similar to the stradale. He says 90% of his customer end up with the MC shift (sportline) not because of availability, but because of the fact the car is so similar to drive on the road and the strad only comes to its own under track / very hard driving. Given the nuances with the manual robotised box, most dont want it. I will probably test both to see for myself, but wondered on here before the dealer spins their story.

Its pretty much the same body as the Stradale. everything is the same, other than the front bumper and also the rear bumper. So yes the rear splitter is different. The outer vents that have the diagonal vents are actually inserts with mesh on the new MC. The stradale has mesh running across and the diagonal are not inserts in the same way. It slook almost identical, but is very slightly different. Only for a trained eye..! These are the only 2 geometry changes between the 2 as far as i know. Rest has been covered. Gearbox, brakes and the Info system are the main differing aspects.

For my penny’s worth, I don’t agree with your dealer. Those that don’t “get” a Stradale haven’t driven one.

In terms of the differences, you know what they are, but to experience them is another thing. I watched a video of an MC Sportline and was irritated by the slowness of the gearshift from the auto box. The suspension is in essence the same between them, the CCM brakes are a world apart from the steel brakes and the noise in race is better (this is because, on a Sportline, the valves will only open at 3500, on a Strad in race, always open).

In the end it comes down to what suits you best. For high days and holidays, A road blasts and mountain passes, it’s the Strad. If it’s more as a daily, go for a auto.
