Whilst stripped down, is it worth changing chain tensioners?
No idea on life or material they are made out of, but I know a lot of cars where they disintegrate after so many miles. RR, BMW, Mini etc.

Just a thought.

I’ve not heard about problems with the tensioners on these but I’ll ask.

Not saying there is, but if there is access and the guides are cost effective to do whilst open I know I would ask. As no one says much about them I assume there is no issues tbh

Now it’s really home!

Back from Autoshield. Variators done, serviced inc plugs and gearbox oil and filter. Clean bill of health and both subframes checked over which are perfect and looks like someone in the past has rustproofed and injected cavity seal. Looking forward to some driving now.
