and no matter what I do, it won't get stiffer!

Well, I've not actually tried anything, yet ;)

Inside, passenger door handle. Pulling it opens the door, but the handle needs to be push manually back to let the door shut.

I'm not in a tearing hurry, but ay ideas?

Swhat I thought. Do you happen to know where the return spring is? I wouldn't want to get my hand in then have to undress it all again to re-lubricate it....

Sorry, Wrong photo. That's the lock rod.

The pull mechanism is below it and is a cable running through a sheath. IIRC the spring is in the pull handle?

The recoil tention comes from the door catch unit, if the lube does not work.

It's about £40 and a pig to fit.

Hmm

The outside handle works fine. The inside one really doesn't feel like it's spring related, so I'm a tad confused now.

Still no biggy, it's rare that I have passengers :D

The door catch has 2 (3 if you include the inner handle lock rocker) separate mechanisms for the outer and inner handles so its quite probable that only one has failed although it is usually the outer door handle that does go.

It might still be something as simple as a rod that has come off or a simple lube.

Not quite. The inside handle opens the door, but will not return to the proper position on its own. I needs to be pressed back. If you leave it, the door will not shut properly.

Not resolved, I need some time and some good weather. Not really expecting those until maybe December at the moment...

Cheers, Matt. I think the only answer will be to strip it apart and look. It's not exactly critical. I'm tempted to get the gear to rec0ver the door pockets at the same time since I'll have to take the card off.
