This one has been for sale for some months, wondering how long do dealers persist in trying to sell at a certain ticket price before off loading/marking down substantially?

I think its come down a grand or two since they had it on the forecourt.

Must have been a high miler for its year when they first had it Frank , my guess an offer of £31 or slightly over this time of year they would bite your hand off

do love those yellow callipers

Of course not Frank , they are used to dealing with cars that loose in depreciation in one year , what our cars are worth , different world

Nevertheless Loz........whats wrong with a lower rate for cars 5/6/7 yrs old.....or trying at least to be inviting to all owners of their marque, I find it all rather mind-boggling.....and heard a few stories too....oh well....will just keep looking and hope they don't double the ferry prices over to GB!!!

Not saying its right Frank , more, of thats how it is , their time will come , even the likes of DL and HR Owen/ Marranello's are starting to price match as volume sales of the high end stuff start to dry up a little

I know Loz.......but its not JUST a car we drive.........don't they get that...sure they are in business.......but it combines several aspects of car ownership, lifestyle and passion absent from 90+% of car ownership....IMHO.......

Been for sale since May/early June by my reckoning. Did actually come up as going to auction in June, but I dont know if it actually went. Prce was £34995 then and was actually put UP a grand in September. Thats an interesting pricing logic! :)

Really think that the bubble will burst next year on GS....Lots for sale that have been up for an age...Dealers slowly dropping prices realising that 37/40k is not selling.....By next April I think we will see far more GS under 30k..........But then what do I know.

I think you're right Andy, but then the challenge will be finding one that has been looked after. At the moment, you've still got half a chance of finding one that has been serviced as it should have been (though, I must say I'm finding it quite challenging!) and the older these cars get, the more they will fall into the hands of guys not prepared to service them once a year, let alone twice when the timings are out.

I reckon good ones will be above £20k for a long while yet, but I agree, I think they're due a drop (and ARE dropping) and I think in a year or so's time, it'll be the exception rather than the rule to see one over £30k.

Does not sound so cheap to me. My car is an LE March 2007 and only covered 12,000 miles with full Maserati Main Dealer Service History and the bonus of a brand new cutch fitted by HR Owen. I doubt it is worth much more than this much higher mileage car
