See JCT are splitting Maserati up and moving it away from the Ferrari branch in Leeds.

Maserati will now be in Bradford.

Most are doing that....Dick Lovett Stopped Maserati altogether out of Swindon. I suppose putting a Ghibli next to a Ferrari doesn't sit well maybe.

Do they have enough trained techs on hand to provide a good service? Guessing they do?

The techs must be Ferrari trained are they given it’s been Ferrari / Maserati engines / gearboxes for years now?

When I had my Lotus Elise, the Leeds showroom was Maserati/Ferrari and Lotus.
They split Lotus off, and moved Aston Martin in.
It's been a couple of years, are Aston Martin still sharing with Ferrari?

I understand that this is happening across the Grey Paul group as well. Certainly, Maserati has been planning to open a separate showroom in Solihull for some time and split from Ferrari.

Aston are still there, it’s a reception in the middle of the building then hook a left for Ferrari and Maserati and a right for Aston

That would be a real shame if Graypaul Nottingham follow suit. It's a stunning showroom, selling classic Ferraris alongside the brand new Ferrari & Maseratis and the visitor experience there is great. The MC20 would sit very nicely alongside whatever Ferrari are peddling next year so it would be a shame to miss out

Didn't I read in here that Maserati demands in dealerships just were silly which is why some are leavi the marque. It they sold in decent numbers then it was worth while but as they don't it wasn't good business case. Sure that's one if the reasons DL left Maserati....But again I may have have got it wrong.

Yes its a pain in the a*** for me. Not that near and now 2 places I will have to go.

Ferrari is moving to a new purpose built showroom a bit further along the ring road (near the Porsche garage) and the current site will be Rolls (IIRC) with a museum bit upstairs.

And sort of makes sense for the fact that Ferrari are delisted from FCA (though still controlled by the Agnellis)

Carrs are doing the same down in Exeter. Their new stand-alone Ferrari dealership is under construction. Maserati is a few hundred yards down the road.

My Levante is coming up for the end of warranty and I had a little fault display on the MTC+ so I called them to see if I could get it booked in to be looked at. This was on Saturday. Initial impressions are this is definitely going down in the world.

Negative points so far:
  • The phone number for service on the website is the wrong one, it still goes to Leeds. If you ring it they give you the number listed for sales on the website.
  • The auto answer, no more speaking to the nice ladies on the desk in the dealership, advertises itself as 'JCT600 BMW Premium Collection' which caused me to check the number again.
  • The person dealing with Maserati doesn't work at the weekend.
  • They only have two technicians and neither of them were available either.
  • I booked the car in, with a courtesy car, and there is now a £30 charge for their insurance. This is on top of a £360 pre-warranty inspection.

It seems that we've been shuffled off to be an off-shoot of BMW/Mini in Bradford, perhaps that's what the sales merit. It doesn't feel like the sort of experience I'd expect buying a £90k specced car though.

If there was any other option local I think I'd be looking at it. As it is I think I'm stuck for the moment.

Shame but it's understandable given the tiny volumes Maserati now sells and with Ferrari cut free it's an easy decision for them. It wasn't long ago that there was a Maser dealer in Newcastle but that went. I guess you are going to Stockport or Nottingham then?

I don't mind the share facilities but it should be possible to make the change and have the correct phone numbers available and a direct line through to Maserati. They will have a fancy switchboard system its not a difficult thing to do, or that costly, to have an extra number. Heck I do that at home for business and personal.

I just got an email confirmation from them that gives the correct address once, the old address another time, and the wrong phone number twice.
