A long(ish) time lurker on the forum, I've often been ther recipient of great advice when it comes to these cars as I've considered purchases and have taken my time but finally, I have one!!
Being in Brisbane, I know the whole 'Oz rip off' has been done before so I've been watching the local market with massive interest over the last 2 1/2 years or so and when a forum member posted the fact that his old 4200 had popped up for sale in Oz (thanks a bunch Peter!) and it was a great car, I decided to take it further.
Much chatting with Peter gave me confidence that this car could be the one for me - low kms, massive and full service history and a good 6-years of ownership report from him, my ideal choice of colours etc etc so I went to Canberra to view.
It was indeed lovely and, due to the circumstances of the seller, I got it for a steal (I think.....and hope!!)
Anyway, as you all are on here, I am now flushed with pride at my new machine and hope only ever to post on the joys of ownership....failing that I might be back begging for help ha ha! Fingers crossed it's only the former.
All I really want to do is thank the forum members (Geoff especially) for all the help in the past and I'll still be lurking here on a daily basis!!
