Hi
Just wanted to post a quick message to say that I have entered the world of Maserati ownership, in the shape of a 2008 Quattroporte Sport GT. I am looking forward to reading and contributing to this forum as I am sure it will help me in my years of ownership. The car so far is fantastic, still getting to grips with it and to fully understanding it.

The car does come with a full warranty so I am keen to know if there is anything that I should be looking out for that may need changing etc and I am not sure if the car needs any manufacturers recalls done ? I am also keen to fit a Bluetooth kit for music and hands free telephone which is the best one to fit ?

All good advice will be appreciated.

Thanks

Welcome, Colin. Not sure how many have done Bluetooth installs on the QP. I'm very fond of Parrots, and the Mk9200 that I have installed in my 4200 is great.

Loads of QPs had Parrot systems fitted by dealers when new, including both of my 2006 year cars. Works well.

Considering a Parrot on my CC.

Can you be heard over the engine and road noise when on the phone though?

I doubt I can which is fine by me. When the roof's down and I'm having fun, I don't want to be bothered by the bl00dy phone.

Welcome Colin - my QP had Bluetooth fitted when I bought it. It's a Kenwood system, and it's brilliant in all respects bar the one that really matters, so overall it's rubbish - can barely hear the other party. Parrot is the way to go...

I will post some pictures very soon of my new QP.

I decided against the Parrot phone options as I didnt really want a screen on the dashboard, so after looking at I think every blue tooth system out there I opted for the Supertooth Buddy. Cost £30 online and instead of putting it on the sun visor (where it would leave an indent as it is fairly tight fit) I have bought a small self adhesive magnet and have mounted the Supertooth Buddy on the lid of the ashtray, I can remove it if I need to charge it through the cigar lighter. And the most important thing is - it works really really well. So I have the Supertooth Buddy sitting next to the gear stick so it is within easy reach and I have my iphone sitting in one of the cup holders so I can see who is calling me before I answer etc and just use the mute button on the steering wheel to mute the stereo when a call comes in. And the Supertooth Buddy also is voice activated so I can call people if they are stored in the phones directory. A great piece of kit and all for £30 and I do not spoil the Maserati;s interior (it actually looks well on top of the ashtray)

Here is the link if anyone is interested.............http://www.amazon.co.uk/SuperTooth-...id=1378761267&sr=8-1&keywords=bluetooth+buddy

Cheers

Colin
