Miserable driving conditions this morning, thought about working from home, but decided to go into the office to see some people. Wish I hadnt.

Crawled along A14 because of the spray only to be rear ended by a delivery van within yards from the office!

Doesn't look to be too much damage, just superficial paintwork crazing and flaking as the bumper was flexed in.

Will get the garage to have a look underneath though, when they quote for re-spray.

Sorry to see your woes. I'd not be surprised if the plastic of the bumper has split - they're quite fragile. A decent body shop will see you straight, but Grigio Alfieri can be a sod to match.

When some tosser reversed into my car a well known bodyshop in the New Forest wanted £2.5k to fix it as it apparently needed a new bumper. Cue asking on here and getting a recommendation for a bodyshop in Waterlooville. They plastic welded it and did a **** fine job of repainting it. I'm picky and would never know it's been repaired. Cost me £400 which was £100 cheaper than my excess so a no brainer really.

Lots of rear bumpers on eBay and perhaps try eurospares to see if there's one in decent Nick in the same colour.

Double check they have not pushed the exhaust forward.
I had minor rear endear on the M25 in my Jag - virtually no damage to the bumper but exhaust was damaged and needed part replacement.

Sorry if I spoilt your day.
It's my mrs, she's a linguist and goes apeshiit at 'could of, would of, etc' and has frequent meltdowns over apostrophe abuse...

My brother confuses 'as' with 'has' 100% of the time and that really gets my goat.

My name is Wanderer, and I am a GoM....

Off to the garage this morning to get it up on the ramps.

Nightmare, so many white van drivers tearing around and the roads with a bit of rain means slip slidy, the recent spell of warm weather means the greases and oils come to the surface and make it a skid pan.
