Always a bit of room for movement if it means a big difference in price, couldn't do a CC, I know a lot of people love them but wasn't a fan on the one I drove and the frequent clutch changes don't excite me too much

Fwiw, the clutch and gearbox is the same on both, it’s just the method of activation that is different. With a software upgrade and run in sport, the clutches can last upwards of 40-50k, so changing them is hardly frequent.

There are advantages to both systems. A well adjusted manual if fantastic in operation, just as a well adjusted CC is (especially with a new clutch.....)
+1 re: well adjusted clutch. Have driven several CCs with varying degrees of wear and/or lack of bite.
Whereas, the new clutch (having been set-up by Marios) has been a thing of joy.

Another good advantage with a GT is they are so easy to drive around town as well as down a motorway or on a track!! The gears are all smooth (I did have 2nd gear adjusted when I first bought it as they tend to be a bit stiff 1st to 2nd). As others have said, anything under 10k is likely to have problems or heading that way, but if you are good with a spanner??
I have a face-lift GT on 60k and only just recently found out that Maserati only produced 10 of these face-lift GT's in the right hand drive guise!! So mine ain't going anywhere!! Good luck with finding one though!

There must be some dreadfully set up CC systems out there as all three of my (4200/GS) cars have been as smooth as an auto.

And that, to me, is exactly why I like a manual over a cc car. With all that torque, you can drive in almost any gear with the manual, while the cc box ( being essentially a sequential transmission) makes you shift through every gear.

Absolutely incorrect.
You drive it like a stick manual just use the paddles.
You can hold any gear, and skip to any gear you like.
You can double click or even triple click between changes.
So you certainly don't need to shift through every gear.
If you are in auto mode and use the kickdown, it drops several gears in one go automatically too.

What’s your source? Is that 10 in colour combo / year / etc?

A friend on the Maserati FB forum who also has a RHD Face-lift GT got this notification back from Maserati.............Apparently 9 came to the UK and 1 went to Australia (I think)!

Hi All,
According to Maserati mine and
Stuart Major
’s Facelift/RHD/Coupe GTs are two of only ten cars made in this configuration. Any others on this group? Not sure how many LHD, but it must be more?

There is this one currently on AT for sale.
That is a Corker!!..............Yes, I have seen this one. There was also a Lilac one for sale on a Cars and Classics and in Modern Classics a few months ago, I reckon it was one of the ones I viewed when I was in the market for one. it was up for 12k which would reflect the condition it was in.

So we have accounted for 6/9 cars including the Lilac one you have mentioned. So just 3 more out there plus the 1 possibly in Oz.
