I’ve been looking at V8 vantage more and more recently.
I only need 2 seats, hopefully prices may drop next year. I’ll keep a watch until then.

There isn’t a day that goes by I don’t look…..It’s a bugger that prices are up around 10k over the last 4 months or so….Can’t believe how much each Vantage model has gone up. Rate to find a 4.7 under 49k now where as 6 months ago some had dipped below 35k…..

Yep. Can only hope it reverses. Otherwise will have to wait it out. Or stump up.

The only one with 4 seats is the ugly one. Vanquish rear seats are only for those with the misfortune of having no legs.

Or just get the 2-seater version.... (2+0 lightweight seats as per Stradale)....

I said it when they came out, the stitching just reminds me of a football boot. Exterior is lovely.

It's fine, I am not easily offended and opinions differ. I dislike the usual tombstone slab seats in the Vanquish and waited ages for a lightweight seat version to appear.

Those seats are just perfect. Best seat you can get in an Aston. So comfortable for a carbon bucket type seat.

Yes, they have some lovely stock at the moment. Taken also by their V12 Vantage S in Mako blue.

Agreed, John. Those seats can looks a bit intense in photos but in the flesh are gorgeous and absurdly comfortable.

Always loved your car. So rare with those seats and as a two seater. I have only ever seen 1 other and that was white and the press car.

Thanks Andy - there are only 9 Vanquish fitted with them apparently. I think most are 6-speed versions (the white press car and a Cobalt Blue I have seen and one in Germany. They are all completely different in their colour and detailing, so 9 unique cars.

TBH I found the DB9 rather underwhelming. Both of the ones I tried didn't feel particularly quick or particularly well put together. Also real issues with power take up (I think one had a really screwed diff). I'd try again, but my mother would have to pass on, or something else would need to be always available. Mrs C accurately put the final nail in the coffin when she pointed out that there was no way my mother would ever get in or out of one.

The white one was for sale for ages last year. Maybe because it was the press car. I watched some of the videos on YouTube with it in and one chap was climbing all over the interior…but I would say that car was serviced well as a Aston car…I really liked it.

I've tried to talk myself into a DB9 but the GranTurismo just does it all so well for less pennies age for age.

Indeed. Took the family out in mine recently having forgotten it was a four seater! If you don't need four seats then downsizing to a two seater could make more sense than a 2+2.
