My Maser is in to have clutch (with associated bearings), Larini back boxes, Larini H-pipe (already have the Larini sports cats), 68K service, braided brakes (and race fluid), lower, 25mm wheel spacers all round (hopefully F550M from Hill Engineering if they fit), oil flush and new oil sender and last but not least the FD DBW, which I'll have fitted afterwards.

Not looking forward to the bill! :-(

And then I've just got the lazy window, maf sensor, brake disks, Loudlink (already have it but need to fit it) bodywork and interior to sort!

Regards, Miles.

Wow, Miles. Lots to get sorted then. I imagine my service bill next summer will be something similar as the brakes will for sure need doing, as will the clutch. I may move up to a GS, we'll have to see what the finances allow...

I hope you'll post videos of the before and after exhaust sound. Is there still time to do that? It'd be a good resource to have a before and after vid of a 4200 with just the Larini cats and then after with the full system.

Car looks great Stu - it looks well waxed and well loved!

Thanks a lot, Woody. Jesse, my detailer works with a mad Hungarian scientist who's been developing a nano fluid that supposedly works better than most waxes. The results speak for themselves in my opinion. The issue apparently was that although the aqua-phobic properties of the nano fluid made for a great finish, it would typically wear out in just a few months with normal washing. This is similar to Rainex in its composition and that has to be re-applied on a fairly regular basis.

Now the scientist in question has engineered the nano-fluid to last 6 months or longer from one application. Jesse even used the same stuff on the windscreen in the summer and it still works at clearing the screen in rainy weather after 5 months. If I tell you that it was 5 months since the car had the nano application at the time I took those pics, would you believe me? I'm SO impressed.

It certainly looks pretty purposeful, although (purely personal you understand) I'm not nuts about the black wheels on a light coloured car, I think it exaggerates the bulk of the body a bit - dark wheels look smaller than bright wheels - I'd like to see the same car on bright silver wheels.

No offence intended to Budapest Stu or any of the dark wheel brigade - it's just not my bag.

Horses for courses, Paco. You know, if I keep the car next summer, rather than upgrading to a GS, I might just go for a silver look. Does anyone here have non-standard colour wheels lighter than the stock colour?
