Yes, they do the screw too and well worth buying at the same time as it appears the original is often glued in.

So I've got an issue. I didn't realise that the springs / pins which provide resistance to the gear fork could be easily removed. My reverse lever housing has come back from wicked Coatings looking beautiful, but missing a spring.

Apart from me being an idiot, does anyone have any suggestions?

I doubt you will be able to buy a replacement so you may have to make something to fit.

From the picture it looks like its a normal compression spring with end caps crimped to each end.

Measure the spring both length and diameter and order one to match from ebay or amazon.

The end caps are the tricky bit. Plastic ones are easy enough to source. Ferrules 'x' mm end caps / plastic end caps or cable end caps.

If you need metal ones then look for brake cable metal end caps or chord end caps

These on etsy are metal in various sizes.

i cant think of another way to replace at the moment. Have you checked with the people that did the work for you on the off chance they have found it ?

I'm flaming annoyed with myself as I stripped everything out before sending off for coating, but didn't realise I could pull these out.

The parcel came late today (outside office hours) so I've sent an email with the photo. I doubt they'll locate it, don't fancy searching random landfill sites in Dorset lol

I've already been looking round for parts to construct my own with, thanks for the suggestion.

The springs should be easy enough to sort.

Cheers as always.

Probably worth making a pair so the both match for compression and feel.

Thinking exactly that.

Found this which should be ideal.
