Welcome to the forum. I guess from your description that you are not the original owner but retailing the car?

If you have a link to an ad that would help. It certainly looks a nice car.

I’m just a Mod, just checking to make sure everyone knows what they are looking at.

I am sure someone will take a liking to it, manuals are rare, esp in facelift. Pretty sure someone was looking for one a few weeks ago.

Well, at least the post count is increasing... you will have more than Andy soon if this rate is maintained.

Low mileage face lift manual 4200s do not come up for sale very often... I am sure it will not hang around long as it is prime to go into someone's collection

Thanks so much—does anyone know how many right hand drive facelift UK right hand drive manuals were made —someone suggested 5 or 6 ?

I had one and they are a great car so I am sure it will attract interest but despite being rare the number is a lot more than that. Look at the registration section of howmanyareleft. Obviously some of the 2004 numbers will be pre-facelift but even amortising the number you are coming in at something like 60+.

BTW you seem to have fewer total posts than you did last night.

We all have off days.

I never understood the negative comment about the gear linkage on the manual 4200 as mine was always fine.

They get loose over time. I had the mechanism serviced a couple of years ago and it transformed the shifter - much better than before.

Not sure sorry. I know the total manual population in the UK is between 200-300 (likely on the lower end).

Howmanyareleft is not accurate because Maserati did not register the cars correctly with the DVLA - my 4200GT is registered as a Spyder GT which is annoying

Yes I have the same problem when I was trying to insure. Two companies were showing my car as Spyder GT and all others coupe. Annoyingly the two where the cheapest .

I have had Maseratis for some 14-15 years and only ever seen 1 or 2 facelifts for sale on odd occasions —as you so rightly point out DVLA completely messed up the registrations very often confusing SA ( meaning semi automatic ) with Spider —hence I have had a gransport coupe registered as a convertible. Also some of the Cambiocorsas are registered as manuals just like the 360s. The manuals really are GTs and the autos Cambiocorsas. Impossible to use ‘how many are there left ‘ as don’t differentiate between facelift or gearboxes.

Yes I have seen that before —so that post is saying there were only 89 right hand drive Uk facelift cars across the board including spider and coupe if I’m reading it correctly—so if you work out the percentage of those that are coupes verses spiders, then work out the percentage of cars ordered with the manual gearboxes ( only a small fraction ) I would hazard an educated guess in single numbers for Uk manual facelift coupes. As I stated before I think the numbers are extremely low and nothing like the 60 units suggested.
