Note in this month Evo mag that fiat are now expecting to take majority holding in Chrysler and as such will have access to the whole range of drivetrains...including Jeep!

As such it is expected to produce the Kubang SUV in a couple of years!!!

Nail in the history coffin!

The market wants it as the BRIC countries are desperate for SUVs with 'heritage'. BMW and Porsche have not suffered from their moves into this area. Personally I would not buy one but there you go.

The only hope is that sales of this sort of stuff will improve the R&D going into the models that would interest us. Trouble is Chrysler underpinnings are not encouraging - will the new QP be on one of their platforms?

On another matter when is the next model launch from Maserati? When is the new small coupe, convertible or saloon due (magazines seem inconclusive as to what it is and when it is coming, one mag even said it was due this year!)?

Not something I would want to see in the Maserati range....but as above it has really worked for Porsche.

I did see something on the web a while ago, showing the 5 year product plan for fiat/ferrari/alfa and maserati...will try to find it and post a link
