I could be interested actually...

Interestingly after our little exchange this morning, I swapped mine around and will concede they look smart this way round. Equally, if the trident was turned round by 90% in either direction, I think that would also look good. View attachment 51033

This is upside down! Sartorial suicide.

They should be the correct way up as you look at your wrist when reading the time on your watch. So if you lift your wrist and the hands on your watch are pointing up for midday, so should be the forks of the trident.

You should try a full Highland outfit sometime. Apart from looking like a walking shortbread tin "the correct" dress code is non negotiable.

Why? That means they are upside down for everyone looking at you in just about every position your arms can be in.
Genuinely surprised.

That is exactly the point. Other than their practical purpose, they are for your personal enjoyment, not for showing off to other people! Of course, you can wear cufflinks any way around, but there is the gentlemanly way, and....well....the other ways. But each to their own, as they say.

Moving on. Would this jeweller be able to do a set of Ferrari cufflinks, with a silver prancing horse?

If so, I and some other Ferrari owning pals would be interested.

He probably could, they can make anything, I’ll ask the question.
