Well a Velar is anywhere from 1,868 to 2,229 kg apparently.....3 tons nah!
Aluminum mainly.....pretty damned rapid too if you want it to be- sub 6 seconds ain’t shabby.
Nobody said they’re more practical and Mummy can drive whatever the **** she wants. Get over it.
Anyway, mines not 4 wheel drive. It’s got 28 wheels plus the 4 it came with. That means it’s used the same global resources as Bennys- apparently.
**** me.

Beautiful init... a fine example of “catastrophic styling”.View attachment 75072
You’d be lucky stuck behind it, admiring its rear

If you look closely you can see the 8 engines It uses.

IMO, the front is probably the worst aspect of the whole thing; a very high body line underscored by thin lights either side of an ugly sloping grille. Then way down you have 3 openings that don’t really ’gel’ style wise. To me, that gives the whole thing a ‘slabby’ appearance topped off by a big windscreen. They’ve even tried to cheat at the back to cut down the bulk; the down sloping roofline and the upsloping black panel disguises the depth of the body. The back doesn’t look like it’s related to the front; less painted metalwork, less glass and less obvious bulk. The only thing tying them together are the thin lights. It’s not really sure wether it’s a big Evoke or a Discovery that’s had a skip dropped on the rear roof. Still, beauty is in the eye of the beholder but I don’t see it in this. From above, with those dramatically rounded corners, I reckon it’ll look like a clown‘s shoe, which is entirely appropriate for such a vehicle. However, judging by how many SUVs are parked in the same area it’s easy to see that the collective stupidity has flowed way down south, unless some of them are actually used outside the city to do the job they were made to do.

Proper work horse in heavily polished format. The scratches down both sides are testament to use. Prefer the latter years (2011/12) before the switch to the bling versions in 2013.

Well, my missus has an SUV (Merc ML) and I've never seen her hold anyone up on the road, mainly as it's not slow.
Also if it keeps her and Joseph safe from stupid drivers who have the attention of a goldfish and text whilst driving then I'll get her another when the time comes.

I would much rather them in something large and built like a Panzer Tank than a Ford Ka or Mazda 3 or some other small car that people think are better for the planet.

Not even remotely sorry.

Conformity. If you’re an ‘in’ mum, you do the school run in the latest workout leggings, in the most up to date Range Rover. And if you don’t, you’re a lesser being. Perhaps we should point our fingers at society for driving the wrong automotive buying behaviours...

Too late....if you dont have a Maserati.....you are cancelled!

Spare a thought for the Mazda 3 driver that gets hit by a stupid SUV driver with the attention span of a goldfish who’s texting. Or even your Mrs if she gets hit by a Range Rover. Having an extra half ton of thin steel around you doesn’t make you invulnerable, although most SUV drivers think it does and drive accordingly.
