I have always liked the lines of the Indy.
Delighted to see this.
Thanks for sharing, Grant.
Congratulations on the purchase.
Good luck with the project. May the scope turn out to be little more than it now seems. :)

I'm progressing quite nicely with the Indy and I'm now effectively just waiting for the carbs to come back and then the car can be started, and I can take it for a whirl.
I've found that there is so little info around in terms of how you can do things. For instance, you can't google or find a YouTube clip how to remove the centre console on this car. So I've captured some videos of my experience doing things to the car and maybe this could help some guys in the future. Tiny audience - only 1100 odd cars built, and how many of those owners actually spanner on the car themselves? Oh well.
If you watch the clip in YouTube, you will see that there are already some videos loaded about the brake system, clutch hydraulics, replacing the choke cable etc.

Thanks for capturing this detail @Grant V Looking forward to seeing more.
Looked like 3.2 Carrera cabriolet next door, had one for 12 years. Lovely motor car, trundle around or thrash it all day.

That's a fairly recent purchase. I've owned a 1985 928S for 22 years, which had 80 000km when I bought it. It has now just had the engine overhauled at 467 000km, only because it blew a head gasket for the first time ever and the engine had to come out anyway to do the job. This is hands-down the best car I have ever owned and the last to go, and frankly I never understood the appeal of the 911. However, its an itch that needed scratching and I now get what 911s are all about. It's fantastic!

Well done and thanks so much for sharing.
I tripped over a green one somewhere online this week, that had a very similar back story
and I was just trying to find it again, but can't unfortunately. It had also been sitting for
years and only needed a new battery to start-up again. The paintwork was fine as was,
after a machine polish. So the new owner decided not to do the repaint that he had been
prepared for. Its great to see/read a story like this, that proves all Maseratis weren't basket cases!
Well done for posting the YT vids too. If you do likewise when you do the bare metal restoration,
they'll be invaluable to those who follow in your footsteps.
