the indie way is the wyz ive learnt to go now...not cheaper a lot of the time the same but the service and work is good not like dealers where they could have a spotty 17 year old on your car (sorry adam dont mean every 17year old is spotty or rubbish at thier job)you know what i mean..alright on a ford or even mercedes but not italian temperament engines

I had a 4200.

When it came to servicing my car I searched the country, or realistic part of the country, didnt want more than a 300 mile round trip, I found Emblem to be the best deal. Although to be fair they did honour a quote they gave me nearly a year earlier! I think otherwise it would have been a bit more.
As usual when I picked up the car I was provided with photo's of the work done and presented with the old parts that they had replaced, i.e. plugs filters etc.

An example, the pollen filter on the left was taken from my car and replaced by the one on the right.
The one on the left should have been inspected/replaced less than 7000 miles ago.

Hi All,

I've had my 2002 GT since summer 2009 and apart from a clutch that was frankly due anyway and a battery change (car had done 2,000 miles in the previous 2 years and I suspect a good trickle charger was not employed) I have had zero to complain about. That's more than can be said for the Boxster S and M3 I had previously.

I've now done 14,500 miles in 15 months on a car that had done 18,500 miles in its first 7 years. I was worried that all that time standing idle may lead to some rubber components having dried out but so far I've had nothing of the kind to report.

All in all I think this is the cheapest car I've ever had, perhaps not in absolute terms but certainly when compared to the fact I drive a super car.

i have found the 3200 the most expensive car ive owned to run...coming from M3s...GTV V6....its prob obvious and i did expect it so no complaints....
all in all id say its reliable..surprising as in the 1st year i had nothing but probs..but they were all linked to the throttle body which maserati have got completely wrong in my opinion and anyone with a 3200 with no probs yet i still advise them to get it done....
new radiator...new hoses...service and all is alright.....

Hey Dem
remember they sold hundreds if not thousands of 3200's here in UK, and we only hear of a few with terrible issues. Mine has been a lucky car no throttle issues after 4 years and 35000 miles. :phew:
I might need a new rad soon though..................

i do think my cars one of the good ones....the throttle needed doing and because i never got it done i listened to the dealers i paid the price with costs...i got it done and it drives brilliant...radiator costs £800
