I'm in your corner, I really am........ when we're talking about cars; but this isn't a car, it's a market segment, and a rather non-sensical one at that.... It's a necessary evil and if a cherokee / hemi combo' in a silly cross-over hybrid allows Maserati to grow their sales, and IF it allows them to offer proper pedigree in their core segments, then I'm prepared to bite my lip and look the other way. May Alfieri, Fangio and the Holy Trident for give me, and the brainless fools that buy one.......

Another name sprung to mind - LaForza but eyr're more American than Italian it seems http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Laforza A friend in L.A. has one, it's considered a sort of a DeTomaso SUV!

Or there's the Fiat Multipla and whatever they call their van with windows these days
