Maximum number of albums reached

I thought I'd do something useful on my first reduced hours day so I sorted out my music collection, copied it all to a USB drive and put it in the USB socket in the glovebox. I think there are about 9000 songs on it and just under 20GB.

It took about 8 hours for the car to read the USB drive then I selected "copy to jukebox' but within 30 seconds it said 'maximum number of albums reached' and my jukebox is blank.

Is there a method for this or set limits? Wasted a day!!!!!

Sounds like a partition error or something on the drive. You might have to wipe the hard drive. What format did you use for the music?

There's a maximum number of files it'll take from memory. If you've got them al in the root of the drive, you're going to exceed that

The USB is FAT32.
My music is organized in folders such as'-

Artist/album/song.mp3

All the tags are set with MP3tag

when i was a child i started collecting cds and lps hoping that one day i will make the same question "how many cds do you have". It seems that now the question is "how many GB or TB do you have"

Obviously - although somewhat meaningless without bitrates.
Have recently been going through "very" old cds full of mp3s and binning the majority.
Generally prefer to stream at any given time rather than keep hard copies.
