McLaren (or other GTS alternatives)

Hi folks
Been enjoying my GTS and have invested in early servicing and preventive maintenance.
But... fancy a change and rationalizing a small collection.
Anyone here have a McLaren 12C? (Luddite warning, later cars don't float my boat so far, but open to being swayed).
As an alternative, I could be tempted by Aston DBS, or just squeezing into 458 LHD).
My budget is up to £100k.
Thoughts...

A friend in the Uk told me that Mclaren reliability is still shocking (12c being the worst) and that a 720s was purchased for under 155k recently. Dealer support not impressive either.
Of course this may not be fully representative of the brand for all.
They are great cars though .
Can’t go wrong with a 458 IMO

Agreed on 12C. Stay away.
570S have a much better reputation. Quite a few MY16 available in the UK for £100k... some even w ML warranty. I would def be happy to buy a 570s and make an offer around £95k and use the £5 to pay for extending the warranty.

I might however buy a 599 for that money. Feels like a more special car (to me) even if they’re older.

My contact in the trade tells me most Maclaren dealers are shocking and that there is loads of problems.

When you couple this with the lack of 3rd party parts and specialists they just don't make sense. The depreciation is horrific and the running costs also so.

I might be missing something but why would you buy one?

The same reason people still buy new Maserati’s probably. Not everything is logical. I want to want one - but for the reasons you suggest it’s not going to happen. Of course when 570s spiders hit 100k this winter...

What's the options for someone who doesn't want crawl into a car, something more executive but sporty? Only QP's, GranTurismo's, old Ferrari 400's on, Aston Rapides? Not boxy tho like Bentley's they are well fugly.

Checking AT it appears the 720S is around the £170k mark, where did you get the £100k price from?
