The AMG is now finally finished!
Last Saturday was the launch with some friends, and then on Wednesday was the first track test. Read more about these events and watch the track test videos here:

Congratulations! Are you planning on racing it at Killarney? If you do I’ll come and watch, I’d love to hear and see it in real life!

Great effort, do you think the rear suspension could be moving into toe out under braking? Can happen with trailing arms and would explain the nervousness under braking.

Stunning climax to the build, kudos for seeing it through and what a magnificent recreation. Here's to many years of tweaking it and honing it into the beast it needs to be!

Possibly. I still have to work out what category I'll be racing in, but I'll let you you know.

The rear suspension doesn't have any adjustment for toe, but the trailing arm bushes aren't hard enough and you can see the movement in the rear suspension in the videos. I need to replace these with polyurethane bushes.
I have to work out how to level out the steering tie rods - they are at an angle and affect the front toe in under braking. The CR82 Dunlop Racing tyres don't really help - they're cross plies and tend to track. I've read that Avon radials are better, but the Dunlops just look so correct.

Excellent worth all the effort, now a different effort is required to enjoy it as it was intended but I hope we still get regular updates this is one of the best threads on this forum.

I race the Mini on CR65, they tramline less than the sticky Avon radials I use occasionally. the Corvette has got 15” Avon CR66ZZ on at the mo and they don’t look bad.

Stunning. Just stunning.

On a slightly separate note.
Looking at the pictures on the website, I can't for the life of me work out what one of the cars you were following in this pic.
What is it?

Looks like a South African V8 Supercar, basically a silhouette series, think that one is supposed to be a Mustang.

The original replica.
Nice, thanks Tallman.
Interesting, I found a video of this one, in the accompanying text they mention 5 having been made, 3 racers and 2 test cars. What is your take on this as you must be an expert on the car? The one in the video has got a mean sound though!
