As suggested by F.Crud esquire, I've created this thread to introduce to you my 2012 Granturismo GT Sport.

As some of you may know, I bought it off Fangio63 four weeks ago, picking it up the following week in the snow and ice. Not a nice welcome to 460bhp.
I've been looking at GT Sports for a while and I wasn't expecting for it to come so quickly as I was waiting to sell my Venerable Coupe before taking the plunge.
I wanted a Sport rather than the S as the nose looks so much more aggressive.
It's the 4.7 with the automatic ZF gearbox, in Océano blu. Luckily a previous owner extended the warranty which came in handy as the gearbox developed an issue. Maserati elected to replace it completely, forwarding the old gearbox to back to ZF.

It's in great condition and a credit to its previous owner. However there's a few things to fix, such a some worn trim and an annoying stone chip on the nose. Fangio has recommended trim nation for the repair of the later.

The size difference is noticeable moving 'up' from a Coupe, both in driving and washing it. The roofline is higher in a GT and it's a tighter squeeze past garage door jambs. Now i get why JonW moved the other way into a GS.

I've not driven it much as I concentrating on selling the Coupe before I really treat myself to the GT. However driving round the cul-de-sac raises a smile from the roaring open valve start.

I've prattled on a bit, so here's a few pictures.

The car looks fantastic, and will be very interested to hear how you feel it compares to your 4200. I’ve now done 100 miles in my GS and am planning a first impressions thread comparing it to my GT S

Looks lovely.

Didn’t the S and the Sport have the same front bumper or did the S still look like the 4.2 then?

No, the S has two fog lights just in front of the wheels. below is the front of an S whereas the Sport has deeper vents up to where the fog lights would be._20190224_215647.jpeg

That's the wife's, it's got a long bonnet but nothing behind, I still get surprised by the lack of car when I look behind to reverse.

What a very lovely thing. Well done! I look forward to hearing what you think of that 'box compared to the CC on your 4200. Is it 8-speed?

I'm sure the stone-crater is an easy fix. I know I bang on about it, but once you've got the front immaculate then PPF it. Reckon on a few hundred quod for the bumper and it'll save the irritation of all the chips and road-rash.

The worst kept secret in the world....

Very nice mate. Like Adam, I'd be interested to see what your opinions are of the auto compared to the CC.

Looks lovely though, can't beat a blue GT.
