Hi guys
We have a big event coming up in November which includes a drive down The Great Ocean Road. I am thinking of buying a GoPro video camera to mount on the car and record some of the drive to share with you. Has anyone here used the camera mounted on the car and if so can you share with me the best way todo it. I don't want it flying off and damaging the car (don't really care about damage to the camera).
Thanks
Geoff

Geoff,

Gopro is the way to go I think. I've made up some bracket and mounted behind the rear seat arm rest and secured with a HD video camera. The mounting was secured but the camera just couldn't take the vibration and it shuts off automatically when I was in the race track.

When are you going to HK? I was too busy working and catching with family didn't have a chance to get one. Now in china and it is o way cheaper here unless its a fake one. Worth to check if it is cheaper over In HK. I saw the picture on the advertisement from the electronic retailer " broadway" but didn't have a price.

Hi Jackson
Going to HK on Friday which I think is when you comeback. They come in various kits Outdoors/Motorsport and one other. I have seen the Motorsport kit here for $260. That's the GoPro Hero 2 and the kit includes camera outdoor case and all the brackets and suction cup.
Hope you aren't working too hard up there. I'll do aGoogle for HK prices and shop around while I am there.
Cheers
Geoff
