A Chevette true, but a special kind of Chevette. Only 240 (of 400 supposedly made) were ever sold. They are rarer than any Ferrari, Porsche, Lamborghini, Zonda ever made. Facts are facts.

I'm working on it! I've got 3 bikes up for sale and the Chevette is next. Then the UR and then the Jensen Healey. I guess the Colt Lancer Turbo will have to wait.

PissHeads is most probably his limit. There are more ESN c*nts over there to flatter his ego so let him crack on.

Watching this and couldn't help but think of him...

Well that was 20mins of utter stupidity fully documented for all to see.
I don’t think I’ve ever heard the words “morally and moral “used more often.

Seemingly, this car could have been returned to the dealer. It should have been at the first opportunity to do so.

The same video should have been made highlighting the pitfalls of buying an old Ferrari.....with the subsequent faults being identified-undeclared by various official sources even after various inspections were made to discover if such existed.

As an ending it could have added that the car was returned to XYZ garage who have agreed to remedy the issues prior to selling to a future customer (potentially discussed upon return). The plonker making the video could have used his social power reach to issue the same “be careful” message....without the necessity for a near 20k bill to a new owner for a duff car.

Instead, the new owner ( clearly suffering from misplaced morality syndrome) has accepted a huge bill of around 20k, lots of grief and garage XYZ is probably doing exactly the same with other marques it’s selling anyway. The presenter has made a video highlighting his lack of “nous” but at least he’ll get more followers.

I’ve been providing free financial advice around these parts recently.

I’d like to add the Ferrari 360 to that list.
It’s my moral duty.

If the purchaser factored in the cost of 20 grands worth of repairs he now has he could have returned it and bought another far more modern Ferrari- with all the necessary checks having learnt from previous mistakes.

More free advice to follow.

Should that be Mr Spoon's Ferrari (he of Button Moon fame?) or Mr Spoons' Ferrari (presumably the pseudonym of Tim Martin?).

Agree with all the points on having a PPI done - or even returning the car.

Having recently bough a Gransport Spyder (still need to start a topic on that, car is currently being fettled by AS Motorsport), I was extremely pleased to have had the PPI done.
Not only did it mean I went in with my eyes firmly open, it also - and possibly even more importantly - meant that I avoided having a 'sour taste' in the initial stage of owning the car.
Because let's be fair, these cars are bought out of passion, they're about the experience. And that starts when buying it.
The situation with the Giallo 360 in the video would already ruin a significant part of the joy for me, if I were the buyer.
I am however not a YouTuber.

On a second note, I sincerely hope that people learn from this video, both by getting a proper inspection done and avoiding certain dealerships...

Caveat Emptor as always. I’m afraid I don’t have sufficient quantities of moral goodwill displayed here. Agree they were numpties not to get a professional inspection, but after all the faults were discovered that were clearly MOT failures, I’d have reported the station to DVLA (as they did), and returned the car for a full refund, leaving the next mug to buy it.

I also would have called out the dealer, Romans of St Albans, on any relevant forums I belonged to. It’s dealers like this that continue to reinforce the image that Arthur Daley is alive and well, even when it comes to premium marques and big bucks cars.

BTW, JayEmm is doing a feature on one of my fleet in the spring, as I generally like his reviews.

Oo, which one? Surely not the GT40.

Tbf, Mr Spoons is, was and always will be a c*nt.

I can quite imagine you were bullied at school. You must be a really happy chap in person. Say hi when you spot me. I'm the one that looks like a ****. I'll be at a number of events this year.
