On a purely financial footing it doesn't make much sense although University costs are significantly cheaper than the UK but on a quality of life especially for an old fart like me who plans to retire, either partially or fully, in the next few years the balance seems to be in the positive.
Would love to look over you sz before you go over the water

You are welcome to pop over anytime, SZ should be out of the paint shop in the next couple of weeks but the Fulvia is always at home
MOT is booked for next Saturday and would be great to have a run out to see your beauties after that at some point in the next few weeks. I plan to us her more this year.

Beautiful example of an early DS, really. However, as a prospective 'buyer', not to rain on your parade but 15k is not where the market is for a high mileage DS. To the right buyer though, you can charge a few thousand more for a well cared for example!

25-50k mileage 09'-11 autos are 17-23k. QPs are hard to shift at the best of time, I know that only too well, but need to be realistic. A very good luck man.
Thanks Chris.
I completely get what you are saying.
The market indeed is not very favourable to QPs of all sorts.
I have marked up the price but that does include a unique and valuable spec which cannot be emulated without spending a reasonable amount of time and money.
It's history is complete right from the day it was purchased new including all receipts and paperwork.
I could go down the route of selling the private reg separately, offer the exhaust system and sport GT wheels to interested folks. But it will not do the QP justice.
I do think it will take time to sell and I may need to settle for a bit less. However, I am reasonably sure any one looking for and trying out QPs will be seriously tempted once they have experience MY 04MAS.
Till then I will cherish every drive in it .

It is a unique spec, however if it was mine, I would sell the sets of discs and buy a new clutch. Youll stand a much better chance at 13-15k as this will be the first thing DS buyers want eg hassel free driving so far as parts go.

Youll likely need the clutch anyway if you hold onto it so use it as leverage.

Good luck with the sale Sommi. Bet you can't wait for that Atom?!

Tough market the QP market at mo and last few years. Don't see it getting better either. I wanted one again but went XJL SuperSport in the end as offered a better all round option at a better price.

Trouble is there are lots for sale and a new lower mile Sport GT can be had for 15k and less. Seems some for 12995.

You need to find that buyer that values the Larini's, alloys and additional extras over others to highlight the USP.

I would be going all out to highlight the Larini's new cost more sound clips and really playing on those aural heart strings. That is the USP many competing QP's haven't got.

Thanks Chris. I reckon that may be plan B if I do not get much interest.
Still to float out the ad outside of the forum.

Also if your really confident in the condition maybe a pre sale PPI with report included in sale. Brave but potentially good option to convince buyer a QP doesn't have to be a money pit if you buy right or the right one.

Eager Bump.
I admit I might have priced it a bit over the market standard.
But it is a good well cared for example.
I will except 14K ovno.
It is one of the most exciting QPs you could have with the best upgrades possible.
Happy for test drives.
Please pm or call me on 07795404125.
Thanks.

I have seen this car a few times and it is a good example.....if only i could....beautiful
Thanks Dem.
I have never had feelings for a car before. I have had memorable drives in many but this one got under my skin.
I am to blame for its departure as I have committed to an Atom and as a marriage dictates, compromises win prizes.

Looking good. Bet your neighbours love you when it starts up!
Yes. Everybody gains. ;)
Although I do tend to pre-warn them if I plan to use it early in the morning.
Never had any complaints at all.

That plate looks right on the car. Dvla has similar for £ 500 - 800.
Not worth separating it for that.

Friendly nudge again :)
The market is really down in the dumps and QPs seem to be suffering more than most I think.
If only an article came out somewhere stating how truly unique the Duo-Select were as a Sports Saloon and there is nothing out there with such pedigree, looks and driving experience.

Realistically, the QPs aren't hot with everyone and are not going to be appreciating assets in the next decade.
But I am not going to offer mine at bargain banger prices knowing fully well how good it is and how it would do well to be passed on to a Maserati enthusiast. Rather than some car dealer who will then keep it on forecourt for a year without use and cause issues to creep up due to neglect.

I will continue to use it as my regular weekend fix till someone who really appreciates what it is comes along and embraces it.

So tempting, sell the range rover and buy this, only issue is to import to Ireland and avoid VRT I have had to own for 6 months or more.
