My New Gransport

Hi Guys,

I originally posted on here about 6 months ago, asking for some advice on a Gransport. I eventually bought an SL55. Well here we are 6 months later and I have just purchased an 08 Gransport in Grigio Alfieri.

What a car! Compared to the SL, the power is down slightly, and that is only evident at 80mph+. But for what it lacks in grunt, it makes up for in style, handling looks and noise!!

The car was sourced by Richard Grace, whom I can't do anything more than shout his praises. Imo, the service he provided me was on par (if not better) than a Main dealer. I could not be more happy with the way he handled the transaction. He also happens to be friendly, knowledgeable and sociable (read: a great guy!).

I'm currently writing this post from a Hotel in Beijing, as I am here on business. But I managed to put 700 miles on the car from driving it home from Chester to Essex on Friday afternoon.

Here are some pictures taken on Saturday morning after a bit of a spirited drive with my old man and his 430 Spider.

The only problem now is.....how the **** am I going to keep the miles off of this fabulous machine!

Thanks a lot for reading.

Rich

Glad Dickie is continuing his style , she looks a right beastie , but i do hope it wasn't you who took off that gate post whilst parking it on the drive , now that would have made an awful mess , hope this trip goes well , and your Mandarin improves

Fine choice. And 08 is a rare thing!

Re keeping the miles off it - why? Crack on, pile them on! I've done c20k in mine in just a shade under two years....loved every one of them!

Intimidating in that colour combo - Great to have another trident in Essex!

I too have made many trips to China, you have my sympathies & avoid swallowing room water or any water in the hotel spa even in posh hotels!

Safe journey, soon be home to the beastie...

Hey great car, reminds me of my past GS, Grigio Alfieri with red leather, very nice combo.

Well, what can I say re the mileage, just enjoy, lifes too short!

Will we be seeing you at any of the events? The Llandow track day is full I think, but how about the Xmas party, its a hoot!

Great colour that, but I would say that wouldn't I. Another job well done Dicky.
By the way, what's that lurking in the garage in the background....another toy?

No it wasn't thankfully Loz! The gate post was taken out by my old man in his Merc CL, that taught him not to use the phone whilst driving (or at least work out how to connect the bluetooth!).

Interesting & not often seen color on the f430

Yep its TDF (Tour de France) Blue. Makes a nice change from your standard Rosso Crema imo.

Yes it's annoying being here in Beijing and not being able to drive it! Although I wouldn't want to drive anything daily in Beijing!
