Good evening fellow Maserati owners. Thought I better introduce myself as a new GranTurismo owner. Finally collected her (Lika) on Wednesday and had a horrid journey home on the M25, M1 and M6 to Preston although the toll road was very entertaining! Lika is a 2012 4.7s auto in Rosso Trionfale Metallic, grey interior with the sports pack. Needs some TLC which she’ll get!
Just want to say a big thank you to Bladerunner (Chris) who came with his MC shift car a few weeks ago to see if it could reverse on my driveway. Fortunately it did without scraping. Enjoyed the informative banter too.
Just to say I enjoyed (bedtime) reading all 142 pages of the Granturismo thread, very useful info.
I will be attending the “sports cars in the park” event at Newby Hall tomorrow 05/05 and look forward to meeting fellow Maser owners.
Cheers Nigel

lovely looking car - as a MY12 with the Sports Pack it’s also a rare one, particularly as it’s not black, white or grey! Well done....

Hi Jon, I think I was quite fortunate as the seller didn’t advertise that it had the sports pack and as we know, that’s a big + point with these cars. Also the red seems to be quite rare too. Thanks again

That’s right and I think you also have the MY12 with sports pack, I’ve been reading your posts, all very informative :)

Happy to help. My car is actually a late 2011MY so I don't have the sports pack but I'm ok with that as I don't find the changes in Sports Manual slow (I think that is the only area it is different) and I quite like the fact that it changes up for me in Sports Manual at the redline - lazy I know! I would like the valves always open in Sports Manual mind, well actually it would have been better if Maserati had just fitted separate buttons for the exhaust/gearshift/suspension choices that Sport controls.

I tend to buy my cars in Navy or Red so would happily have both yours and mine!

Ahh, sorry for that. Must pay more attention next time!
Yes, that was quoted ( sports button) by Harry ( Harry’s garage) with his review of the MC Shift he owned.
Perfect colours then!
