Hi Guys

I'm the new owner of MAZ 7667 based in Sevenoaks Kent. No sure if anyone here is familiar with the car, it has had 8 previous owners so the chances are high!

The ownership experience is so far so good, the car had a major service + lots of other work at Grimaldi two months before I bought it and I just had the cambelt changed today at Giallo (very good service).

No doubt your collective knowledge on this forum will come in handy when the italian electrics start to behave like.....well italian electrics :sad3:

hi, mine it's a 3200 auto so I've been reading all the posts about TB and PP.....LOL......can't say I understood everything. Are you running yours on a contactless TB now?

I am still " all original" and if it ain't broke, don't fork it up by twiddling with it! :D
PLenty of time to sp*nk money on your car, so spend it on petrol for now, soon be time for brakes / tyres / trackday / highland jaunt.

Welcome aboard.

Hi and a warm welcome , If Roberto (Grimaldi) has looked after the car then thats a big positive , as stated if it isn't broke dont paly about with it just enjoy , but words of wisdom are the minute throttle /idle problems start to occur do yourself a favour bite the bullet and go for the contactless TB, the tempory fixes and subsequent breakdowns are very wearing and a false economy , do enjoy those twin turbo's but be careful in the wet pulling out of bends , that surprise moment when they kick in, is the most common way to lose the rear end

Thanks for your messages

Here are a few pics I took recently for the insurance company for an agreed value policy. As far as I know the car is as she was 10 years ago out of the factory except for the back box.

Does it sound good?? Stupid question i know.....

Not so stupid Dem , exhaust notes are like carrot cake , personal and an acquired taste , the cheaper ones can create cabin boominess and resonance and some people are prepared to live with that if their happy with the external sound , whereas Larini's are more specifically tuned (no boominess) and like chocolate cake everyone loves them

It sounds okay not the best I've heard although Ive been quite civilised so far, may be it sounds better when revs are higher

True test is screaming it with those turbo's spooled up, you really have to be a pedestrian to appreciate the best , taken me over two years to fully appreciate what other people hear , let Matty drive the GS at LLandow had to agree with everyone certainly sounded mega , but totally different inside the car even with the windows down

You let UM drove the 4200 at the pub and you were impressed.....always good idea to hear your car while someone else is driving....
