Correct. The gases flow in through the valve which opens based on pressure and either exits through the small diameter exhaust tail via wadding. As it opens wider, the butterfly valve inside the large diameter opens to make it more direct and unsilenced. Ps. This is 4.7. Not sure if earlier ds were the same.
So this mechanism is present in the backboxed of the 4 piped 4.7 QP V's?

With kind regards steven

Been a while since I updated this thread.
I won a set of wheels on eBay for less than the cost of a PS4 rear tyre (!!)

9 inch up front , ET25
10.5 rears, ET25 .

I've gone 255/35 and 295/30 Continental SportContact 7 on these as they have been winning a lot of tests over the PS4 and came in slightly cheaper.

Literally brand new, Ive coated them with Gyeon Rim - Will see how they hold out.

Also gone full android tablet head unit, the EQ on this has really woken up the OEM stereo.

Large screen Waze and Spotify bring it up to date.

Looks great! Details on the Android screen please! What version of NIT did it replace (ie what year is your car?)
Did you have to put the old NIT in the boot or does the New Android completely eliminate the need for the old one by having all the functions?

2008 - If you look on my first post you can see the original NIT.
No boot install, this replaces it. No errors on dash either which the other offerings seem to have an issue with.

I wouldnt go as far as recommending it just yet as I have a few niggles to iron out first. Long story but the seller is blanking me because I raised a case against them and got some money refunded !

Pretty confident I'll get it where I want though - There is a huge following for android head units online., 360deg camera install to go on soon.

Niggles :

No Steering Wheel Controls yet
No CanBus info in the display (not a deal breaker itself)
Some audio feedback missing.

I've ditched the supplied CanBus and gone with an aftermarket to give me ACC(+ / illumination signal / SWC etc . I think my issues are around this.

Hi
Just rereading the whole thread! Did you fit the Larini's and if so could you post what they sound like with the valves closed and open? You'll have then documented the entire exhaust mod upgrade paths! Well done!

The only thing you're missing is the Formula Dynamics Drive by Wire module and FD remap.....

In the interest of keeping some of my pics in one place here's some work tidying the sticky buttons

View attachment 108567

These look great! When asked about your method you said "On the window switches I rubbed them flat and used black plastidip rather than the rub down, clear paint like the switches. The air vents are similar."

Can you explain what you mean by "rub down" and "rubbed them flat"?

Also what did you do for the buttons? The symbols look bright and fresh?

Thanks
Eb

AIB Insurance Celebrate our 30th Birthday!

Just a big thank you to all club members and those viewers for supporting our business for more than 30 years now (yes, I’m a day late posting as it was our 30th birthday yesterday).

From our humble beginnings as part of the British Hang Gliding and Paragliding Association to a multi-million pound privately owned business with family values held in our cover, we are very proud of our (not so) little business. We have continued to grow every year on year and whilst we have built a reputation loving specialist vehicles (performance or modified vehicles, motorhome, RV’s, campers, imports as well as classic and kit cars and anything unusual) we also provide cover for property, breakdown cover, daily drive cars and commercial risks now too.

If you are stuck for cover or your insurance policy is due please give me (Jenna) or the team a call on 02380268351 or visit www.aib.co.uk
