Oh, and on another note, there you have the end of the Chrysler engine argument. They will use the Pentastar for base models and the 4.7 Fezzer unit for the luxury segment.

There's the Kubang....That was terrible..So glad they canned it...

Just one thing on the Chrysler piece................The only up side...and it is small....is that surely with that engine they will be cheaper to serive and run.....Chrysler had huge serbice intervals...

Can see your point Andy , and cheaper engine parts for the hands on servicer, altho they will probably be branded and packaged Maserati and treble the US price , still easily cross referenced i should imagine

Yes Loz....you could get the parts off shelf from across the pond or Chrysler here maybe.......and the other thing is people may...and I say may see the cheaper car as more reliable with the Chrysler engine as there is still that perception of reliability issues still with Maserti even though that doesn't seem to be the case since the QP.....

I wonder if they'll do an 'S' version of the smaller car with the 4.7 Ferrari lump? That'd be the one to have... Oh yes :)

With my positive hat on, I can see a clear link to the California engine. V8. 4.3L. 450bhp and 357 torques. Probably detuned, but in a baby Maserati? Yes please!................

Looks like only the big car will get a Ferrari engine Miles...Little one Chrysler....But you can live in hope.

But you never know it may be a great car no matter what engine in in it......Again possitive hat on.
