New to me Ghibli

It’s not a main dealer - it’s the dealership I’m hoping to buy from
In my 2 years of Ghibli ownership the only issue was a leaking headlamp washer. I'd save the £2400 warranty cost if I were you. Regarding servicing, £1200 for 3 years is cheap. I'd avoid that and use an indy for servicing. Will cost a little more, but you'll get a better job and preserve the cars value a bit better.

Thx Paul - my feeling was that as it’s a 2015 model I should probably take out a warranty - especially as the price seems very good. Thanks for the insight on servicing - I’ll give it some thought....

You need to know what the warranty covers and the labour rate permitted. Most are not worth it and your 2.4k would be better left in your own account for repairs.

Or use the extra to buy from Maserati

If you're anywhere South, then SportsItalia are the best place for looking after your car. You could also consider an inspection before purchase. My last Ghibli was a 2015 and it was very reliable.

As others have said check out the conditions of the warranty carefully. I’m not sure how much the diesel is but the petrol Ghibli warranty with Warrantywise is about £1500 year a year with no excess, £5000 claim limit and £75 per hour labour cap. Very expensive but they seem to be the best aftermarket warranties available. I got 12 months on mine from the dealer thrown in with Warrantywise and when it runs out if I want to continue with it he will do it for me at cost.

There’s a 10k claim limit,no excess and it’s 1k a year or 2.4 for three years . I will check out the warranty carefully - if the dealership goes bust I suppose I lose my warranty

Picked up my new to me Ghibli last night and I have to say I’m delighted with it. Spent some of today going round the car and it is immaculate. The only niggle I have is that I checked the oil and I would say it’s over filled by 500ml or so and the oil smells of petrol. The car was serviced beginning of this year and the oil is fairly clean. Anything to worry about?

How long has it been for sale ?
Probably from starting it to move around and not driven up to temperature.
If it's really thin change it otherwise it will disappear from driving.

It’s been for sale for at least 2 months because I’ve been keeping an eye on it. So your probably right.
